2017 Annual Benefit Statements (ABS) have now been despatched to the majority of eligible Scottish Firefighters' scheme members.

Your statement has been issued to your home address, as held on our records.

The remainder of the outstanding statements that are still due to be issued are currently being worked on. Every effort is being made to provide those affected with their ABS by 31 March 2018.

FULLY PROTECTED members will have benefits in the existing final salary scheme(s) and only those pension benefits will be shown on your ABS.

All other members who are UNPROTECTED OR TAPERED will have moved or will move to the new 2015 Career Average Re-valued Earnings (CARE) scheme at a specified date on or after 1 April 2015. Where appropriate, pension benefits in both the final salary and 2015 CARE schemes will be shown on the 2017 ABS.
