The purpose of this circular is to:

The purpose of this circular is to:
• Confirm that, in common with other public service pension schemes, there will be a 3% increase in the value of firefighters pensions in payment (or deferred pensions) from 9 April 2018
• Advise that the rate to be used for the annual revaluation of benefits accrued in the 2015 Firefighters Pension Scheme by active members will be 3%.

The purpose of this circular is to:
• Inform the service of how overpayments resulting from the Guaranteed Minimum Pension (GMP) reconciliation exercise will be managed.

The purpose of this circular is to confirm member contributions effective from 1 April 2018. This concerns contributions made under the Firefighters’ Pension Scheme 1992 (FPS 1992), the Firefighters’ Pension Scheme (Scotland) (FPS 2006), and the Firefighters’ Pension Scheme (Scotland) Regulations (FPS 2015).

The purpose of this circular is to:
• To make a number of minor amendments in limited areas, particularly in relation to ill health;
• To advise of a change to the Firefighters’ Pension Scheme 2015 to allow transitional members who are being considered for ill health retirement by an independent qualified medical practitioner (IQMP) at the time they would transition to the 2015 scheme from either the 1992 or 2006 scheme, to remain in their existing pension scheme, until a final decision is made (including an appeal) by the IQMP.
