Scheme Circulars

You will find below a list of all circulars issued by our Policy department recently. These circulars are issued whenever important issues relating to the administration of the Scheme arise or when Scheme Regulations are changed.

2008

Circular 2008/1 (pdf 163Kb) issued on 17 March 2008. This circular provides information on the Pensions Increase (Review) Order 2008 SI 2008/711 .   Multipliers for “preserved” pensions and lump sums can be accessed on the HM Treasury website on their Public Service Pensions / Pensions Increases page.

2007

Circular 2007/4 (pdf 66Kb) - issued on 20 July 2007.  This circular introduces a Guidance for Police Authorities on pension arrangements for part-time constables and sergeants from 1 July 2007

Circular 2007/3 (pdf 115Kb) - issued on 4 April 2007.  This circular provides information on the making of the Police Pensions Regulations (Scotland) 2007 (SSI 2007 No 201).

Circular 2007/2 (pdf 63KB ) - issued on 28 March 2007. This circular provides information on the Pension Increases (Review) Order 2007 (SI 2007 No 801) and the Multiplier Tables at Pensions Increases.

2006

Circular 2006/8 (pdf 60Kb )-issued on 12 December 2006.  This circular provides informatin on Compulsory Retirement Ages (CRA) for Police Officers. Attached is Guidance on CRA (Pdf 272Kb).
